Support Services / Traffic Division
The responsibilities of the Support Services / Traffic Division include, but are not limited to:
- Accident investigations
- Funeral escorts
- Speed enforcement and monitoring
- Purchasing, upfitting and maintenance of all PD fleet vehicles
- Maintenance of the PD building and property
- Coordinating of special events throughout the town
- Hiring, training & supervising of all school crossing guards
- Participating with area departments for regional enforcement events
- Installing, repairing & replacing all town-owned street/traffic signs & traffic lights
- Securing state grants for specialized enforcement(cell phone, DUI, seatbelts, etc.)
