On May 8, 2015, a woman called 911 reporting she had been sexually assaulted in her apartment.   Officers responded to the apartment complex at 100 State Street and learned a woman flagged down the apartment maintenance worker, later identified as 32-year-old Bernardo Corona, and asked him to fix her air conditioning unit.  Corona came into the apartment alone and fixed the unit while the victim watched.  Prior to leaving, he began to kiss the victim, and groped her breasts.  The victim attempted to stop him, but Corona continued kissing her and touching her body above the clothing.  The victim blacked out, and when she awoke, Corona was gone.

This morning an arrest warrant was issued.  Corona was taken into custody and charged with Sexual Assault Fourth Degree.  He was held on a $10,000 bond and will be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
